Chocolate Almond Energy Balls!

This raw no-bake snack is so easy to make, plus it's incredibly nutritious. Perfect as a snack on-the-go.


I LOVE CHOCOLATE! I've been wanting to make a no-cook, raw energy ball that is healthy and can be eaten as a snack. I tried a few recipes online but wasn't really impressed until I came across Ella Mills (before getting married Woodward) recipe (I have and love her cook book 'Deliciously Ella') that contains only 5 ingredients: Raw Almonds, Medjool Dates, Raw Cacao Powder, Almond Butter, Coconut Oil. 

Almonds/Almond Butter contain Vitamin E, Riboflavin, Manganese, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Calcium and Iron in the Almonds and they can Help Prevent Heart Disease and Heart Attacks as well as Support Healthy Brain Function.

Dates are loaded with many vitamins and minerals (copper, magnesium, manganese, vitamin B6, niacin, pantothenic acid, and riboflavin) and are a Natural Energy Booster and can decrease cholesterol. It's a good alternative sweetener

Coconut Oil is a Proven Alzheimer’s Disease Natural Treatment, can help Prevent Heart Disease and High Blood Pressure and can help Reduce Inflammation and Arthritis.

Cacao is loaded with Anti-oxidants, which include Vitamins and Minerals. Raw cacao powder has more than 300 Phytochemicals (believed to protect cells from damage that could lead to cancer) and nearly four times the antioxidant power of regular dark chocolate, and contains Protein, Calcium, Carotene, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Magnesium, and Sulfur.
